Built in the USA to Henry’s world-renowned standards of quality the Mare’s Leg is a modified variation of the Henry Big Boy Brass Side Gate and available in .357 Magnum.

Like all Henry Rifles each Mare’s leg sports a select handcrafted American Walnut stock cut to the exact specification of the gun used on the television series. The large loop lever and the legendary crisp Henry action make it easy to enjoy those rapid-fire repeating shots.

Like the full-sized rifles these pistols are based on the Mare’s Leg features a side loading gate on its gleaming brass receiver allowing you to keep the five-round tube magazine fully loaded on the fly. Henry also retained their removable magazine tube making for safe and easy unloading after a day at the range.

These bases will not fit Henry .30/30 or Henry .45-70 rifles as they are not Big Boy Series(pistol caliber: .44mag.45Colt.357mag.41mag.327Fed Mag) guns. For .30/30 or .45-70 you can purchase a Weaver 63 base online

2nd Generation Big Boys are drilled and tapped on the top of the receiver. To determine which generation of Big Boy you have refer to the manufacturer serial number table so you select the correct mount. Instructions on installation of the scope mounts is provided in the packaging. All Henry Scope Mounts accept Weaver style detachable 1″ top mount rings.

The 2nd Generation Henry Big Boys have a reciever that is already drilled and tapped for this scope mount. This rail is a Picatinny style cut with multiple cross slots ready for mounting Weaver or Picatinny style rings. 2nd Generation Big Boy rifles are drilled and tapped on the receiver for this scope mount. If your Big Boy rifle lacks these receiver screw holes it is most likley a Gen 1 and will need the Gen 1 scope mount.
