Starting with what they know best building a true-to-the-original 1873 Colt single-action that only Pietta can do and then creating a true work of art designed by master craftsman. Every inch of this revolver was developed the with old-world techniques from the traditional color casehardening using bone and charcoal (instead of chemicals) meticulously checkered and fitted grips with high-grade hardwoods nitride blued screws cylinder pin and ejector knob to the carefully blued frame. Each revolver personally checked by a member of the Pietta family.

The Pietta 1851 Navy Deluxe is a .44 caliber revolver with a brass frame featuring engraved scrollwork and a 7.5-inch barrel. The model 1851 Navy pattern was historically adopted by both U.S. and British military forces. The cylinder features an engraved scene depicting the Texas Navy’s 1843 victory over the Mexican fleet.

In many of these places the marshals were the only kind of law that was available. Knowing this numerous outlaws made their livelihoods in these fledgling towns that had not yet become structured enough to provide their own authorities.
