Designed to properly fit new and resized case necks these pilot stops feature a very unique shape. Slightly undercut this shape will not pick up imperfections at the case mouth or neck/shoulder junction resulting in smooth accurate indicator readings when used with the new Case Neck Gauge.
Two sizes are available because of the small (9/64”) mandrels used for .17 & .20 cal. and small flash holes. The larger size (for standard 3/16” mandrels) work equally well with the tools of other manufacturers.

Redding Neck Bushings are available in various diameters and made for use with RCBS Gold Medal Match series dies. Because of variances in thickness for the neck brass the standard die sizes the neck under the preferred diameter. To get the proper tension on the bullet an expander ball is pulled.
In addition these bushings are self-centering and changeable which makes it possible to set the amount of tension on a bullet with precision. As a result there is less work on the brass helping prolong life while increasing accuracy.
Sooner or later everyone does it. Too little case lubricant (or using ordinary oil) and the case seizes in the resizing die. Usually the rim pulls off and it is almost impossible to remove the stuck case without damaging the die. This case removal kit provides an easy solution to your problems. Instructions included.
Redding handgun cartridge crimp dies were designed for those who want the best possible crimp. Profile crimp dies provide a tighter more uniform roll type crimp and requires the bullet to be seated to the correct depth in a previous operation. These dies are not for cartridges that headspace on the case mouth.
All progressive die sets are supplied with a profile crimp die (or taper crimp die if the cartridge headspaces on the case mouth) because the best possible crimp is attained after the bullet is seated.
The design of the Redding Profile Crimp Die is an example that came about from an attempt to help silhouette shooters solve the typical “half moon” crimp so prevalent with magnum handgun cartridges. Redding's solution to the problem not only solved the ugly half crimp but proved to tighten groups as well.
Designed for handgun cartridges which headspace on the case mouth where conventional roll crimping is undesirable. Also available for some revolver cartridges for a taper crimp or for use when loading flush seated wadcutters or case bullets which have no crimping groove ro cannelure. Manufactured to the same high quality standards as all other reloading dies.
The Redding Taper Crimp Die Set is designed for cartridges used in handguns with headspace on the case mouth and where more conventional roll crimping is not preferred. For people who do reloading and want a taper crimp and more uniformity the set is also available for certain revolver cartridges.
With a taper crimp the process is gentler and tighter which in turn holds the bullet more firmly in place. However the overall length of the cartridge is not compromised. Constructed from steel this set is made to last.
