The Brute R. The Brute’s big brother features a lifted deck height and an opened exhaust. Removed the o-ring from the insert and added it to the inside of the barrel. These changes deliver more built-in back pressure and top-end rasp, producing a cutdown that is as loud and raunchy as any the market has seen.

The Brute XL is bigger than its predecessors. It has a 3″ barrel, the same size barrel as vintage P.S. Olt cutdowns. It offers a bigger exhaust, a longer tone board, and contains a step-bore system: a first for us at Rolling Thunder. These features allow more precise control in both sound and tone for experienced callers who can properly introduce clean air into the call.

The Brute XLS combines the XL tone board with a shorter barrel. The result is quicker, more responsive calling with easier transitions from high to low – in both sound and tone.

The MeanDuck is a loud and aggressive J-frame style call. It brings that crunchy, “hybrid” style sound to the line of calls. Its much easier to operate than a cutdown, but still packs that raspy deep tone of a cutdown. The MeanDuck is compact and responsive, delivering the full range of rasp that today’s duck hunters expect. The unique bore system we built into this call delivers a lot of punch while retaining enough back pressure to allow for ample forgiveness when air presentation is less-than-ideal.

The Wood Duck Whistle is built to mimic the complete range of sounds and tones wood ducks produce, from attention-grabbing squeals to finishing whines. It features a durable, one-piece acrylic design with metal guts built to last a lifetime. The Wood Duck Whistle is constructed in the vintage Olt D-2 style, inspired by passion for all things cutdown, and is a great lanyard compliment to any of our mallard calls.

The Levey Cut Cutdown Duck Call pays homage to 3X World Cutdown Duck Calling Champion, Drake Levey. This friction-fit round hole cutdown features a straight-walled barrel and straight-walled insert. It includes a call condom to keep the insert securely inside of the barrel. Combining an extremely natural bottom-end with an attention-grabbing top-end, the Levey Cut offers the depth, range, and ease of transitions that put it in a league of its own.

The Two Stroke, is the most popular and user-friendly double reed. Built on the same keyhole cutdown tone board as the Original, two 0.10 mil reeds make it super easy to operate while retaining that raspy cutdown sound and range hunters expect.

The Big Heavy offers plenty of range, speed, and versatility to fool even the wariest Canada geese. Featuring a larger bore, a longer insert, and redesigned guts, the Big Heavy is streamlined to deliver deeper tones while optimizing note sequencing. It’s been a favorite of many guides season after season for chasing both lessers and greaters.
